Lysøysundet is a charming town centrally located on the coast of Norway. There are about 400 permanent residents here, and we have our own shop and school.
Coop Prix Lysøysund is located 200 m from the facility, and has a post office and pharmacy. Here you can find most things you need, but if not, you can go shopping in Bjugn or Brekstad.
The drive is located 50 meters beyond the store.

Lysøysundet is located about 1.5 hours drive from Trondheim and 2 hours from Trondheim Airport Værnes. If you are coming from the north, you can turn off at Asp on the E6 and drive past Malm and Verrabotn.
When you arrive at Lysøysundet, there is a good sign for Ankeret Brygge.
There are also direct flights from Oslo-Brekstad, which is about 30 minutes away from Lysøysundet. This means that you can get here from Gardermoen in about 2 hours. The route is operated by DAT.
There are also frequent departures Oslo-Trondheim, and direct to Trondheim from various other locations.
During the season (April 1st - October 1st), the facilities are reserved for our fishing tourists, and the minimum stay on the online booking is set at 7-12 days. Outside of that, you can book as much/as little as you like.
You can also contact us during the season to request a shorter stay.
Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. Please contact us if you need an earlier check-in or later check-out, and we will try to accommodate it if possible.
All of our apartments are fully equipped with a kitchen (including a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, and necessary kitchen utensils), private bathroom, bed linen, and towels.
You will also find a TV and a dining area in each apartment, as well as free WiFi. The apartments provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Yes, there is a freezer available for all apartments, except for the two smallest ones at the back above Ankeret.
We appreciate our guests being considerate of other visitors and keeping the common areas tidy. Also remember that it is important to respect the nature around us and take waste back after fishing trips.
During the season (April 1-October 1), the boats are reserved for our fishermen's guests, and can only be booked online for periods of 7-12 days.
It is still possible to contact us and ask if we have any boats available.
Pick up and delivery with a full tank at our floating dock facility.
The boat is rinsed clean upon delivery, before we inspect and check that everything is in order.
The boats are equipped with modern echo sounders and GPS navigation.
Besides this, you will find stomp and clap on board.
Safety is a high priority for us. We have GPS tracking in most of our boats, so we can quickly find you if a situation arises or you need assistance.
We remind you of the rules of the sea, and ask that you always follow them for a safe experience at sea. Remember that life jackets are also mandatory on boats under 8m in Norway.
We have a brand new gutting shed located on the floating dock, right next to the boats. This is available to all our guests, or people who rent a boat.
Fishing waste should be taken out to sea and emptied there, and should NOT be fed to seagulls or thrown outside the pier.
Tourist fishing facilities must report their guests' catches, and guests must have customs documentation from the facility in order to take their catch out of the country. We use GoFish for this, a complete solution for both the facility and the guest.
Here you get access to a simple and clear guest portal, with relevant information, detailed sea charts, and safety checks with guests before departure. You register your catch yourself when you arrive on shore.
